Chandelier earrings in full swing!

Faceted pink Opal ovals frame these sumptuous natural pink Keshi Pearls - full of pink peachy hues and baroque shape

The nation most closely associated with pink opals is Peru - pink opal is primarily composed of hydrated silica/quartz

Pink opal occurs when water evaporates from silica, leaving a gel behind that eventually solidifies into opal. How the pink occurs differs depending on the locale. Mexican and Peruvian pink opals get their color from small amounts of quinones, organic compounds often found in plants, that enter the stone during formation

Keshi pearls are all nacre, no nucleus and so all pearl. As the Keshi pearl is produced in a farmed environment it cannot be called natural. This is because keshi are a bi-product of the culturing process, not a natural occurrence. Most keshi pearls, in fact, have a greater lustre than even the best-quality cultured pearls
